Near Pratunam fashion Mail and for those who like walking, Isetan, Central World and Siam Paragon about 15 minutes walk. The room was a bit small though, opened the door and 2 steps away is the bed. A bit noisy too at nite with a truck or train sound passing through. Breakfast was mininal. Air-con was also noisy and the blanket was not adequite, just a thin one layer blanket. Nice reception lobby decor and lift, everything still looks new as it looks recently renovated. Formal hotel name is Stella House. Was this review helpful? Staff are friendly and helpful. Bring a map of the place with you because taxi drivers do not know where it is as it´s hidden behind the Baiyoke Sky. There´s the train noise, but it´s not a big disruption-when you´re out all day, you´d probably be so tired that you´ll sleep through it. It´s a cosy little place and I´d come back again for sure! Overall, the stay there was enjoyable. I stayed at the 3rd floor which was newly refurbished and the furniture new although the room was not that big. Excellent location. Bustling night life nearby with the steet hawkers selling stuff from clothes to food. 7-11 nearby too. Walking distance to the Pratunum Market and Platinum Mall. The only thing to degress was the breakfast which basically was the same every morning and the variety was miserable. A warning to light sleeper. The railway track being just located behind the hotel can be noisy to some especially in the early morning ard 4-5am. Hotel attendent with walkie talkies outside the rooms can also mean that you will end up something in between your sleep. But then again, my gf had no prob with that. =) Was this review helpful? The staff command of english is pretty good too as compared to other budget hotels I stayed in before. Some of the staff even know how to converse in Japanese. The hotel just renovated their lobby area and the decor is cool and funky~ The rooms are pretty small and not as new looking as the lobby. However, beds are comfortable and clean. The toilet seems older than the bedroom, but is clean as well and the hot water heater is working perfectly. Same as the other reviews, the railway is right behind the hotel. Thus, there will be rumbling sounds of the train passing by. However, frequency of trains passing by during my stay there was perhaps once in the morning and once at night. THus, it doesn´t pose a major problem to me. Breakfast selection is limited, however, great street food can be easily found right in pratunam market itself, so there´s no worries~ =) I will also like to praise the security officers assistance in helping us to hail cabs and ensuring that the cab drivers on their meters before letting us get on the cab, which is pretty unlike the last few hotels I stayed in, which they hailed cabs for us and charged a higher price, especially from hotel to the airport. all in all, my friend and I enjoyed our stay there!! and will go there again! Room is comfortable & facilities are basic but sufficient for me as I just needed a place to shower & sleep. Location is great if you are in Bangkok for shopping cos you can easily unload your stuff and take a short break before heading out again for next round of shopping!! Only grouse is the limited breakfast but then again, Bangkok has loads of stuff to eat and there is a night market 2 mins away. Staff are really friendly and helpful (& good-looking too!!) The buffet selction is pretty limited but for the money u paid ,u cant expect much. i wish that the hotel can change the menu every 2-3days so that the guest will not have the same foods almost everyday... lastly, recommend to stay and i will surely be a return guest on my next trip...
